The inline TED shot blasting system treats wire in a single pass, using centrifugal projection of metal abrasives from one or more turbine sets arranged around the wire path. This high-energy blast action quickly removes calamine and oxide layers, leaving a clean, consistent surface ready for downstream processing. To keep abrasive contained and maintain a clean work area, the machine features two sealed pre-chambers or vestibules-one before and one after the blast zone-that prevent accidental spillage and ensure safe, efficient operation.

After impacting the wire surface, the metal abrasive is recovered along with oxide dust and crushed calamine via a closed-loop abrasive circulation system. This system includes a counter-current washing unit that reconditions and separates usable abrasive from waste, cutting consumption and lowering operating costs for long-term use.

For coil-based processing, we offer the upgraded TED type shotblasting machines for coiled wire with a maximum capacity of 3000 kg. This semi-automatic unit is engineered specifically for coiled wire mechanical pickling and stands out with its vertical-axis rotating door, a key upgrade from older models that use horizontal-axis rotating doors. The vertical design improves access, stability, and loading ergonomics for heavy wire coils.

Surface cleaning for coiled wire works the same efficient way: a series of turbines hurl metal abrasive centrifugally to strip away calamine and oxide. During the blast cycle, the internal arm rotates steadily to present every section of the coil evenly to the abrasive jets, ensuring full coverage and uniform cleaning across the entire bundle.

Loading and unloading coils onto the external arm is done easily with a forklift or overhead crane (customer-supplied). Best of all, this can happen while another coil is being blasted inside the machine. Downtime is kept to an absolute minimum-limited only to the quick rotation of the door that holds both working and loading arms. This dual-station workflow greatly boosts hourly output and makes our shot blast machines a cost-effective choice for high-volume wire workshops.
